M6 Junction 23 Roundabout Improvements

A £4.1 million pound road improvement scheme has recently completed at the interchange between the M6 and A580 East Lancashire Road. The works have included the installation of new right hand turn lanes from the A580 onto the roundabout, removing restrictions from the roundabout to the A580, improving signalling across the entire junction, and improving southbound access to the M6.

The scheme has directly helped reduce daily congestion, reduce journey times for travelling public, and improve safety.

Since completion The Parks and its occupiers are benefiting from the road improvements, providing quicker access to and from the motorway and A580.
